KFS Implementation Schedule
April 2012: KFS Cash and Credit Card Processing Implemented at UCDMC!
- As of 4/1/12, UCDMC is now live with the Kuali Financial System (KFS) Cash Receipt (CR) and Credit Card Receipt (CCR) documents! Those UCDMC employees previously using the paper Statement of Cash Collections (SOCC) form should now use the KFS Cash Receipt (CR) document and discontinue use of the paper Statement of Cash Collections (SOCC) form.
Get Your Campus Login ID and Kerberos Passphrase Set Up
If you don’t yet have a campus login ID and Kerberos passphrase, you will want to get them set up as soon as you can. Once you have a login ID and passphrase, you will be able to access the online training described below, and this will be the first step for getting access to KFS. Visit the Computing Accounts Services website and select the option for “Get your UC Davis Computing Account.”
Training Opportunities
Online training is available to assist you in learning more about the new documents and how to use them most effectively. There are separate training opportunities through the campus Learning Management System (LMS).
- Initiating Cash Receipts (20 min) Code: Kualification_10
- Reviewing Credit Card Receipts (20 min) Code: Kualification_11
- Initiating Advance Deposits (15 min) Code: Kualification_12
Get Your KFS User Account!
- If you already have a DaFIS user account, you already have access to KFS.
- If you don't have a DaFIS or KFS user account follow the steps below:
- Hospital Employees: In your Lotus Notes application, select the Online Access Request, select the Kuali option in the Add Access section, and add a note in the "Comments" section that you need KFS access for cash and credit card processing.
- School of Medicine Employees: Contact your supervisor (DaFIS or KFS user) in your department who will be able to create a KFS User account for you.
