What's New in ERS?

The highlights of this release include:

• Reports for Principal Investigators are now highlighted on the Report List and Report screens. This makes it more apparent to a certifier when the report belongs to another PI and should not be certified.
  
  
• Three buttons are now used to navigate from screen to screen, replacing the drop-down menu. The new buttons are labeled Report List, Manage Searches and Search Reports and will allow for more intuitive navigation.
  
  
• Hyperlinks have been removed from the percentages in the Original Payroll % column. Users can still drill down on the payroll for a project by clicking the magnifying glass icon.
  
  
• Cost Share records that have been removed from the Cost Share Tracking System will now be inactivated in ERS and will no longer be applied to reports at the time of generation.
  
  
• When a report uses multiple certification, payroll transfers will now re-issue only the affected lines rather than the entire report. Only the department(s) that have changes will be required to re-certify.
  
  
• A new indicator Under Prelim Review shows as a column on the Report List screen. UC Davis will not be implementing this feature.
  
  
• The column labels have been changed to more clearly reflect the values in each column:

The highlights of this release include:

• On the Manage Saved Searches screen, subscribed PI lists will now sort alphabetically by the PI name. Also, users can now select which screen they wish to see when they first log in by selecting an option on the ERS Start-up Options menu at the bottom of the Manage Saved Searches screen.
  
  
• On the Effort Report list screen, "Display # reports per page" now remembers the user’s previous selection.
  
  
• Printing improvements have been made for Internet Explorer users. Data is now properly formatting on the page.
  
  
• When editing an effort report, users can now change the percentage on Non-Sponsored Activities back to its original value.
  
  
• Various error messages have been removed. When sharing a saved search or returning to ERS after a period of inactivity, an ERS user no longer receives an error message.
